Minors Offered

Industrial Technology (21 hours)

Students who wish to enter the field of manufacturing may wish to add a minor in industrial technology. Students will become familiar with the basic concepts of industrial practices and the machines and components that make up manufacturing companies. This is combined with laboratory work to enhance these concepts and to give an understanding of how the many manufacturing systems are integrated.

A minimum of 21 hours is required with a minimum of 12 hours being taken at MSU.

Information Technology Services (18 hours)

A minor in Information Technology Services (ITS) will help non-ITS students who wish to learn technology, especially the area of information technology. Students will become familiar with the basic concepts of information technology and sub-components such as instructional technology, multimedia design and development, computer repair, data network, and/or instructional design theories. This is combined with laboratory work to enhance the concepts and practices in IT.
