About Us
Welcome
Welcome to Mississippi State's Department of Industrial Technology, Instructional Design, and Community College Leadership! From our hands-on academic programs to innovative research and community outreach initiatives, we're creating solutions and empowering future leaders.
Our Department
We offer two undergraduate degrees and six graduate programs that equip our students with the dynamic skills they need to lead and succeed in a variety of technology and educational fields.
Housed within Mississippi State's College of Education, we are located in the Industrial Education Building, which recently underwent major renovations and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. In fact, the College of Education first began as the Department of Industrial Education in 1903.
Our Recognitions
Our faculty members have participated in many scholarly activities, including publication of numerous books and articles in national refereed journals; and presentations at national and international conferences.
Our students have received recognition through their participation in the student organization sponsored by our department. ATMAE students won first place in the robotics competition two years in a row and placed first in the report competition as well. We are very proud of our students and their contributions to their student organizations and appreciate the commitment of their faculty advisers.
Our Scholarships
We are very fortunate to have four scholarships endowed by generous donors for students our department. Other College of Education and university scholarships are available to our students as well.
