What makes me a transfer student
Students may transfer to Mississippi State University from a regionally accredited community, junior or senior colleges for any period of enrollment, provided they have earned a 2.0 GPA on all college courses attempted (as computed by Mississippi State University), as well as earned a 2.0 GPA on the 30-hours of core courses. Applicants must list all colleges attended on the application for admission, must be in good standing with the last college or university attended, and must meet one of the following options for admission.

What are the transfer requirements for admission?
Admission is granted to those who meet the transfer admissions criteria.
The INDT department follows these transfer policies:
- All students who are transferring to MSU must have courses obtained from an accredited institution.
- A max of 60 transfer credit hours can be applied to a Bachelor's Degree in INDT.
- The last 30 credit hours must be completed at MSU.
- Several classes have already been assessed for transferability.

- Out of State Courses: Call the Registrar’s Office at 662-325-2022 and / or email to transferarticulation@registrar.msstate.edu requesting the course be reviewed. Email should include name of school, course symbol, course number, and course title.
